In the last inning, our team had gone from a 6-0 lead to a 7-7 tie and everyone was sitting on the edge of their seats... We got a girl on and they called on Delaney to bunt her around. Laying down the perfect bunt she was not only safe at first but advanced to second on a bad throw. The next batter is hit so the bases are now loaded.
On a hit the girl on third is out on a force at home. So Delaney is now at third.
Then on a wild pitch, Delaney steals home and slides in under the throw to win the game 8-7!
It was exciting and it taught her that everyone has a job and when they put you in to make the most of it!

Delaney always has such a great attitude (well, most of the time! LOL) and tries to just take advantage of the opportunity when she does get to play. I was so proud of her!
